In 2023 pork production in Germany decreased significantly, while beef production remained almost unchanged. There was a slight increase in poultry.

Germany: Meat production dropped further in 2021
A total of 51.8 million pigs were slaughtered in 2021, a 2.9% decrease compared to the previous year. The slaughter of imported pigs was reduced by almost half.
